What is golforganiser.com?

Our founders Fred Moghadam (left) and Kenneth Wolstenholme first got together in 1983, and one year later Society Golf (now golforganiser.com) was born. Our aim was, and still is, to organise professionally run amateur golf tournaments, and 25 years later we are still going strong. We measure our success by getting it right and seeing other people copy us. Last year, 80% of golfers from the previous year returned to take part.

What does GOLFORGANISER.COM offer?

We offer club golfers of all levels across the UK the opportunity to play competitive matchplay golf against each other. We have various tournaments on offer including our flagship event sponsored by the Express Group Newspapers, the Daily Express Matchplay, now in its 20th year.

How do GOLFORGANISER.COM competitions operate?

Put simply, you pay a one-off entry fee then just await details of your opponent who will be local to you. Win a certain number of matches and you will find yourself at one of the regional finals before the Champions Week © Finals at one of Europe's top venues.

Why should I enter a GOLFORGANISER.COM tournament?

We give you the chance to compete against the best golfers in the UK with the ultimate goal of spending a week as a guest finalist at the Champions Week ©. Think of it as the closest you can get to winning the World Matchplay without having to play for a living!

Those lucky and good enough to qualify at the Regional Finals will win a trip to our famous Champions Week © Finals in Spain, a 7-day festival of golf playing various top courses with a unique format, as guests of golfrganiser.com.

Handicaps

To play in any of our tournaments, you must belong to a golf club and be able to produce a handicap certificate on demand - no other handicapping systems are acceptable to us.

Breach of rules

Any breach of our rules will result in the players in question being reported to their golf clubs. Fortunately, we have only had to take such drastic action on three occasions in the past 25 years!
