TOURNAMENTS Come and join Society Golf at Valderrama... The first tournament organised by Society Golf was a National Championship for Golf Societies, hence our name. Now we run nine annual championships that see over 200 club golfers qualifying for our prestigious Grand Finals on Spain's Costa del Sol. "They are golfers like you, enjoying the unique taste of international tournament play, on courses such as Valderrama, Atalaya Park and Alcaidesa."

1. COSTA DEL SOL MASTERS [ NOW OPEN TO ENTER ] Closing Date 30.05.2007 Launched in 2005 this is probably the top pairs event in Europe now. Matchplay format during the summer, with the semi-finals in September and October throughout the UK with the Finals on the Costa del Sol in Spain in November. HAGGAR MATCHPLAY [ N O W O P E N T O E N T E R ] Closing Date 30.05.2007 Now in its 15th year. Individual matchplay format throughout from start to finish with 64 Finalists winning a place for our Champions Week, the Final at Valderrama GC. The largest tournament of its kind in Europe. SUNDAY EPXRESS TEAM-OF-4 [ NOW OPEN TO ENTER ] Closing Date 30.05.2007 Launched in 1984, this is the oldest and most prestigious open team event in the UK. HAGGAR PAIRS [ C L O S E D ] Haggar Pairs, now in its 15th year. Four-ball better-ball matchplay format with the semi-finals in September with the Finals and Champions Week, in Spain. NATIONAL SCRAMBLE [ NOW OPEN TO ENTER ] Closing Date 28.02.2007 First played in 1994, this is the only event in Europe played in Texas Scramble format. This event takes place during the Winter months and each match is played over two legs one at home and one away. Finals in Spain and champions play Valderrama at the end of the Champions Week. SUNSHINE MASTERS [ NOW OPEN TO ENTER ] Closing Date 28.02.2007 This individual championship takes place at the same time as the National Scramble during the Winter period. EUROPEAN OPEN [ C L O S E D ] A series of 6 one-day events where the winning pair wins a trip to the Champions Week Finals in Spain. |
