Below you'll find answers to the questions we get asked the most. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for please contact us

All changes and/or re scheduled date will be announced on our NOTICEBOARD page.

How do I qualify to play in the Champions Week Finals?

Boys: by finishing in the top two at one of the 45 Regional Finals

Girls: by finishing first in one of the 45 Regional Finals.

As well as the above, there are three other ways of making the Finals:

1- The best net score of the year

2- The best gross score of the year by an Under-13 (born after 1/1/2009)

3- To receive a Tournament Director or Sponsor’s Wild Card. To increase your chances of being awarded a Wild Card, you will be given points for the number of events you play in- the more qualifiers you play in, the better chance of receiving a Wild Card. Also, your best performance will be taken into account. In 2022, more Wild Cards will be awarded than any previous year.

If I don’t qualify at the first attempt, can I try again?

Yes. In 2022, there are no limits to the number events you can play in.

Can I enter direct or do I need to be entered by my golf club?

Either. Each golf club can enter up to six juniors (boys and/or girls). Or, you can enter direct.

Are caddies allowed?

Yes. But we enforce a strict rule of conduct- if any of the caddies misbehave, they will be asked to leave the golf course immediately. All GPS measuring devices are also allowed.

Can much younger juniors participate?

Yes of course. Experience is the best way to improve and get better. We, therefore, encourage very young golfers who may have high handicaps to enter and participate. As well as playing for the best gross prizes (and making the Finals), they stand to win prizes on offer for the best net scores at all the 45 Regional Finals.

How can I make sure I have the best chance of receiving a Wild Card?

All juniors who just miss out qualifying automatically, will be put onto our Wild Card list.

In due course, a certain number of juniors from this list will be awarded a Wild Card into the Champions Week Finals in November.

To move up on the Wild Card list you need to show how keen you are by playing in as many qualifiers as possible and achieving at least one high finish- usually a top six.

In the past few year around 6 boys and 3 girls have been awarded Wild Cards each year. But this year, due to the chaos caused by Covid-19, we have increased the number of Wild Cards to be awarded to 21 for boys and 12 for girls.
